Ingo Arnason is Director, Actor, and Artistic Manager with 20 years of experience in the cultural and performing arts. He was the Director of the Nordic Artist Residence, Circolo Scandinavo in Rome, where he designed and managed cultural programs related to Nordic art and culture. During his period, he developed a series of partnerships with Italian and international cultural institutions for further promotion of Nordic arts.
Arnason has directed many stage productions both theatrical and operatic. At the Icelandic Opera, he staged a number of important operas including "Il Barbiere di Siviglia", "Le Nozze di Figaro", and "Cavalleria Rusticana" among others. He has taught acting to opera singers in order to improve their stage performance. He has also directed a number of radio plays for RÚV, Iceland’s national broadcaster.
Arnason was on the Board of Directors of the Nordic Film Festival in Rome from 2013 to 2020. He has also translated several film subtitles and works as a consultant on film dubbing projects.
Now based in Rome, he continues to pursue a career as an actor and director while contributing to Circolo Scandinavo as Project Manager.
